Top 5 Ways To Support Dr. Fauci
--
America has two favorite scientists at the moment: Cameron from Netflix’s “Love is Blind” and Dr. Anthony “Tony” Fauci whose emergence has been the one silver lining to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Though no stranger to combating viruses as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infection Diseases since 1984, Dr. Anthony “Tony” Fauci has recently excelled in the limelight as a member and frequent spokesman of the White House Coronavirus Task Force. Without Dr. Fauci’s practical, reasoned, facts-driven approach to explaining the dangers of the coronavirus at White House briefings, many Americans would be left feeling clueless and ill.
Dr. Fauci deserves boundless praise. He has conducted dozens of interviews and works incessantly to combat misinformation on the coronavirus. He readily shares knowledge on pending treatments and on the best methods for avoiding spreading and contracting coronavirus.
Without Dr. Fauci freely speaking to the media and informing politicians and the public, the coronavirus pandemic could and likely would be much worse. So for those of you who love Dr. Fauci or for those of you just finding out about him, here are the top five ways to keep Dr. Fauci in your heart and in mind while also staying healthy.
1. Listen to Dr. Fauci and Spread his Message
These are not the end-times — hopefully not at least — and Dr. Fauci is not a prophet. But with panic and misinformation spreading faster than the coronavirus itself, do Dr. Fauci and everyone around you a favor and heed to his advice: wash your hands often; practice social distancing; hunker down; stay indoors if and when you can; quarantine yourself if you feel symptoms. Though these expressions articulated by Dr. Fauci are now becoming meme-like, they are true and essential to saving lives.
2. Show Support for Medical Professionals and Scientists like Dr. Fauci
Many people are rightfully lamenting recent job layoffs and the inability to work at an office. Meanwhile doctors, nurses, and medical staff continue to risk their lives to test for the coronavirus and treat patients. Without these medical professionals, the world would be a much darker and sicker place.
Thank Dr. Fauci and other medical professionals like him for providing light in trying times and striving to keep everyone healthy. Now is not the time for hugs. To express your appreciation, consider sending a kindhearted text, a gift card, or a roll of toilet paper. Or if you hoarded medical masks prior to or at the beginning of the outbreak in America — you know who you are — consider donating an unopened pack of masks to your nearest hospital. Also consider donating to a coronavirus relief fund.
3. Consider Joining a Dr. Fauci Fan Club Online
You are not the first person to appreciate Dr. Fauci’s greatness. Thus, thankfully you need not be alone in sharing your appreciation. Dr. Fauci is far too busy to manage a personal Twitter account so consider joining a Dr. Fauci fan club on Twitter such as these two:
Retweet about Dr. Fauci and his latest updates on the coronavirus. You know what Fauci would say: better to share tweets than to share respiratory droplets.
4. Buy Dr. Fauci Swag
Amazon is currently focusing on delivering essential goods, so at the moment, it is difficult to recommend purchasing t-shirts from Amazon unless you are presently an involuntary nudist. But if you cannot stop thinking about Dr. Fauci and want to hold his image close and dear to your heart, the option to buy a Dr. Fauci t-shirt online currently exists. Linked for your enjoyment and not as an advertisement, choices include: an Obama-esque “Hope” t-shirt featuring a stately image of Dr. Fauci [see below image]; “Fauci 2020 for Prez”; “#teamfauci”; and “Dr. Fauci We Trust.” If you must order one of these shirts, it is best to combine the order with some gifts for medical professionals [see #2].
5. Watch Dr. Fauci Videos
Greatness often escapes description and exists beyond words. Instead, individuals often recognize greatness when they see it. Moments of greatness come in wide-ranging forms such as when Michael Jordan hit a game-winning shot to seal the 1998 NBA Finals to when the first kitten video was uploaded to the internet.
The one thing all moments of greatness share in common is that they are typically unforgettable. So, if you are bored at home with nothing better to do than to skip your next Zoom lecture, witness greatness at work and dare to never forget about Dr. Fauci after watching these brilliant, eye-opening videos of a medical legend sharing what America needs more than anything right now but respirators, face-masks, and vaccines: facts.
